Every month, Lucy opens up a small number of commission slots for those wanting a truly personal piece of art – something heartfelt and hopeful, created just for you or someone you love.
What’s included in a commission?
Each illustration is drawn in Lucy’s signature style: faceless figures from behind, capturing quiet moments filled with emotion and meaning. Whether it’s a memory, a milestone, or a simple feeling you’d like brought to life, Lucy will work with you to create something special and deeply personal.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Describe the story or sentiment behind your piece
- Choose key visual details (setting, clothing, objects, colours, etc.)
- Review and approve a sketch before the final artwork is completed
How the process works
We like to keep things simple and transparent. Here’s what to expect:
- Secure Your Slot Each month, Lucy releases just 4 commission spaces. These are first come, first served.£250 deposit – this secures your slot for the month.
- Confirmation & Brief Once your deposit is paid, you’ll be contacted personally to confirm your booking and provide your brief and any accompanying reference images.
- Receive a Personal Quote After reviewing your brief, we’ll provide a personalised quote for the full piece based on the complexity, size, and any extras like framing. Most commissions range between £350–£750 in total.
- Create & Approve Lucy will share an initial sketch for your approval before completing the final piece.Please note that each commission – including any requested amendments – takes a minimum of 4 weeks to complete. Be sure to allow enough time when placing your order.
- Final Payment & Delivery Once your artwork is finished, we’ll request the remaining balance and then carefully print, package and post it to you or your chosen recipient. We ship worldwide.
Why we limit availability
Lucy gives her full attention and care to each commission, which is why we only release 4 slots each month. This ensures every piece receives the time and thought it deserves. If slots are sold out, we encourage you to check back at the beginning of next month.
